Announcing The Fisher Family Foundation
February 29th, 2020 — Los Angeles, CA — Entrepreneurs Scott Fisher and Alexis Fleischer have announced The Fisher Family Foundation, the vehicle for their long-term philanthropy, with a significant initial contribution. Born in a modern era of philanthropy, The Fisher Family Foundation will utilize a deep understanding of social media, influence, and the digital landscape to amplify causes, develop strategic projects, and recommend grants to organizations that align with its values.
The Foundation launches with two specific areas of focus to concentrate and maximize impact as detailed below.
Empowering youth in under-resourced communities
Using entrepreneurial skills and tenets to educate and inspire youth to achieve their dreams
Giving all youth an equal shot at personal and professional success through experiential learning and financial resources
Supporting programs that deliver proven results in high school and college graduation rates
Fighting for a more just and equal world
Supporting and developing programs that work to to achieve intersectional equality for all Americans regardless of gender, race, sexuality, or socioeconomic status
Supporting organizations focused on electing female leaders and driving progressive policy
Fighting for social justice and against hate, bigotry, and discrimination
“We’ve both independently given and have made philanthropy a major focus in our businesses and personal lives” began the founders in a joint statement. “As we build our family and lives together, we’ve really taken stock of what’s important and it’s clear philanthropy is where we most significantly want to invest our time and resources as a couple. We believe making our activities public in this way will drive the causes we care about forward and hopefully inspire others to do the same”.
The Foundation begins its work immediately and has already made multiple grants. The Foundation will recommend grants through a 501(c)(3) donor-advised fund.
